Our equity pool installation 6 years later (and replace it)

Let me show you the condition of our installation of our warehouse pool after 6 years of strong use and hard winters. As well as the updates and changes that we have made to make it look brand new.

I mentioned in my last blog post that I was afraid to tackle this project update, but in the end the process was not as bad as we thought. Yes, it was a lot of work, but knowing that we use it every day in summer was definitely the carrot that we had to dangle from our faces to do it immediately and not to complain about work.

Before I tackled the entire process of the exception of the liner, I of course researched again. This is always the largest before a DIY project begins. And as I mention in my video, there was no information about pool exit for Stock -Tank Pools in this project in 2019. I have now read about Reddit because there were people who had previously done, but in 2019 I couldn’t find any information. While there were blog posts on Stock Panzerpools, no DIY projects for the installation of liners were published.

I consider us the internet pioneers of installing a pool liner, and all blog posts are now based on what we have posted. Now, 6 years later, there are many people who have installed a liner in their stock tank pools, and I have also tried some of these projects.

Step 3: Add a pool liner pad in the floor tank pool below

Since we had problems with small holes on the bottom of the tank pool over the years, I decided to add a pool liner pad this time. It is like a felt pad or a foam subsequent.

My only concern is to vacuum water again, as we got used to every spring when it came between the liner and tank. The upholstery may make this process more difficult. We had to patch several holes every spring.

I used a 12 ‘ -round pool liner pad. I simply put it on the bottom of the pool and followed the outline of the tank diameter with a Sharpie and then used a sharp scissors to cut the padding.

Then I used the high-performance gorilla adhesive spray adhesive to attach the liner pad to the warehouse pool. I think this step is really necessary if you consider that water gets back between the liner and tank and then a disaster out of curvature and wrinkles.

Step 4: Add the new pool liner and installation of the inlet and outlet valve

Now we only had to install the same process as originally installed. I cut the holes in the same place in the liner and then used the silicone duct to enter the inlet and outlet valve parts after I had screwed them on the spot. Once again it was like lining a metal waste with a garbage bag. No joke!

I did a lot better this time to avoid wrinkles. Take a look at my original tank pool post to see how I cut the holes into the tank.

Step 5: Fill the pool and check for leaks

My husband removed all the rocks and gravel so that we could add the liner on the outer surface of the pool. We also removed the old bamboo fence. Then we filled the pool while we checked the inlet and outlet valves after LECKS.

Then we added the new bamboo fence and have set up all the rocks again. Voila, it looks new.

As a memory, the photo below is what the 2019 pool looked like when we originally installed it.

  • My DIY pool pump cover for our Intex sand filter pump next to the tank pool. It really hides the pump and mixes directly into all rocks.

We are so happy that our pool can be used again and look brand new. All we still have to do is add a bamboo protection to the Pool Surround.

Oh, and how about my Frank in the video? He loves to have us back in the yard. He is also glad that his roommate, also known as my son, cuddle back with him to cuddle to bed every evening.
