Instructions

A big thank you to Julie W., who shared this funny idea on time for Easter.

To make this project, you need eggs from dollar tree, a hot glue gun and adhesive rods, solid boxes for rabbits, wooden skewers for additional power, green spray paint, preserved or artificial moss, spray glue or hot glue, hairspray, to reduce it, a small flower stick and a rock, the dirt, a heavy weighing.

Start stacking the eggs and use them with hot glue to secure them in place. Make sure you are stable and let the glue dry before you continue. Next, create rabbit ears by cutting two ear shapes out of solid cardboard. For the additional shelf life, place a wooden skewer between two layers of cardboard and stick it together. Attach the ears with hot glue to the top of the stacked eggs and use the skewers to offer support so that they do not fall over. Let the glue dry completely.

Now it’s time to paint. Coat the entire topiary evenly with green spray paint. The green color helps to hide all gaps in the moss later, so that the finished product looks fuller and more polished. Let the color dry before you continue.

As soon as it is dry, it is time to add the rabbit ears and then add the moss. Spray adhesive is the best option for this because it makes the process considerably easier, but the hot glue also works. Work in small sections, contact adhesive and press the moss onto the surface. Keep on until the entire topiary is covered. If there are gaps, fill them out as required.

Now that the rabbit topiary is covered with moss, it has to be secured in a saucepan. Fill a small flower pot with rocks, dirt or another heavy material to keep it stable. Use the hot glue to attach the base of the topiary to the pot to ensure that it is upright.

To prevent the moss from dandruff, give it a light hairspray as soon as everything is available. This helps to hold everything together and keeps loose pieces to make a chaos.

And that’s it! Your dollar Tree Osterhase Topiary is ready to show. Place it on a table, a coat or an entrance area for a festive touch. If you try this project, you should share your results. Happy Crafting and Hoppy Easter!
