It’s time for a personal blog post again because so much has happened.
Last week, after Easter, I brought our son back to college and took the opportunity to take some final photos of him. He completes on May 9th. I can’t believe it was four years ago. It feels like yesterday that he went to college.
Our daughter completes the high school at the end of May. Your prom is also at the end of May. Tonight we have their senior citizens’ evening for the route. It is so bitter to see another of your high school sports.
My new tattoos

I also decided that it was time to finally get more tattoos. My family in Germany is likely to say: “Why did you do it about everything in the world?” And I say: “Why not?”. You see that I have many small white spots on my arms that are sun damage. Especially my left arm, which may be because this is the arm that gets more sun due to the driving of a car and is on the sunny side. I didn’t like these white spots for a very long time.
I have a tattoo inspiration board on Pinterest. I will no longer get big tattoos because I was afraid to develop skin cancer stains and not to be able to say when I have it. It is very difficult to tattoo white on your skin because white disappears over time. My white will never disappear. These spots are due to a reduced or no melanin production in the skin, which leads to lighter or white spots. You can see the places much more in summer.
So I tattooed small thin stars around the white spots, and everything that matters is that I love them. I would rather look at the stars than the simple white spots. I always said when I became 50 and I still love tattoos, I will get more, and I did that. My favorite place is the close -up, which is bright white and is on my shoulder. You will still fade over time.
I have had the larger star on my hand since our 25th wedding anniversary, which surrounds a large white scar on my hand.
My son said: “Mom, they fit your aesthetics!”
DIY projects
With regard to projects, we came up with an unexpected problem with our stock armored pool after trying to open it to the warmer weather. I mean, we knew that at some point we would probably have to replace the liner, but it still really stinks that it has happened now. We have had the Stock -Tank pool with a liner since early spring 2019.
As you can see in the picture below, there was a huge hole in the liner. We suspect that the hole was cut into the liner by a large block of ice. The liner had also shrunk a lot, especially upwards, where it was not completely covered by water.
We covered the failed attempt to paint the storage pool with a flex seal with the liner. Now you can really see how it is moving in pieces after I have removed the old liner.
Here is the thing: part of the bamboo is also lazy and falls off. Therefore, it makes sense to make a larger project out of our warehouse tank pool and remove stones so that we can replace the liner and bamboo without taking the entire shabby flex seal. I am currently waiting for all stocks to arrive this week. My husband has to make the whole heavy lifting.
