Different types of stoves and how they work

Today four main types of stoves are used: gas, electrical (hot plates), radiation/glass ceramics and induction. Everyone has their own heating and offers different advantages and disadvantages.

1. Gas herd

Gas herds use an open flame driven by natural gas or propane to heat cooking dishes.

  • Advantages: fast heating and precise temperature control. Works with the most cookware.
  • Disadvantages: needs a gas line. Open flames can represent security risks.

2. Electrical hotplate

These use metal coils or solid windows that are heated with electricity to transmit heat into cookware.

  • Advantages: durable, works affordable with every cookware.
  • Disadvantages: slow heating and cooling. The heat adjustment is sluggish.

3. radiation / glass ceramic

Glass ceramic stoves use electric heating elements under a smooth glass surface.

  • Advantages: Look, easy to clean.
  • Disadvantages: heat slower, keep heat after use, glass can scratch or crack.

4. Induction

Induction cookers use electromagnetic fields to heat compatible cookware directly.

  • Advantages: fast, precise heating. Energy -efficient. Safer because the hob remains cool.
  • Disadvantages: requires induction hobs. Can make sums or noise.

Configurations

  • Free -standing: includes cooktop and oven in one device. Fits between cupboards or stand alone.
  • Strokes: Integrated design with front controls for a seamless look.

Characteristics

  • Smart controls: allow monitoring and control over apps.
  • Convection: circulates air in the oven for cooking.
  • Air FRY: Used hot air to use a crunchy meal without frying.
  • Double oven: Two ovens for cooking several dishes at the same time.

How to choose

  • Fuel source: gas (requires a gas line), electrically (required 240 V), induction (requires compatible cookware).
  • Cooking style: gas for reaction fast heat, electrical for baking, induction for efficiency and speed.
  • Kitchen layout: Look at the placement of devices, the tax location and the available space.
  • Capacity: Match burner and oven size for family needs.
  • Easy cleaning: smooth surfaces and self -counted functions shorten the cleaning time.
