Hotel room tour: A Bohemian withdrawal in Baia di Chia, Sardinia,

As you may know, I love a beach vacation. Although I was born in a cold country, I am convinced that I was born somewhere in a previous life. However, last month we went to Sardinia in Italy for our family vacation. I was expecting wonderful weather and delicious food, but I had no idea how fabulous our suite (Suite Incanto) would be in the Baia di Chia Hotel. When we booked it, we thought we booked a standard suite with two bedrooms. What we actually got was a two -story villa with two private terraces and a whirlpool. The accommodation was beautifully furnished in a minimalist, Bohemian style with a Sardin-Meets-Biza atmosphere. The room was so quiet that it was easy to get into a real holiday spirit and forget everything else, that’s exactly what we came here.

Now let’s take a look at some decor tips that I would like to steal for my own home to create this relaxed vacation mood.

Rattan lighting

Rattan Lighting is not only for beach resorts. The Bohemian look goes with different inner styles and can be really timeless, which makes it a versatile choice for every house. I particularly love rattan pendant lights in cozy bedrooms or conservators. We exchanged my daughter’s bedroom lamp shade for a rattan a few months ago and it was the best decision! Rattan lamps let up so much light and make them perfect to illuminate these dark corners in their home.

Woven wall decoration

Sardinia has a long heritage in handicrafts, so it made sense to show some of them in the room and throughout the hotel. The wall color was kept neutral so that these wall decorations inspired by the tribal design were highlighted. Mixing different patterns, colors and sizes works very well, especially if you adhere to the rule of three in the interior designer. Depending on the size of the wall, a large wall decoration would look just as good. I liked the warm colors that had been selected here and was tried to buy some for our house.

Sofa bed

The room could fit up to five adults, so it was a good idea to have a large sofa bed in the separate living room. The modern furniture design mixed seamlessly with the Bohemian atmosphere and was much more comfortable than it looked. I also loved the small side step and the dark wood you had chosen. In addition to the sofa bed, there were two more sofas in a separate living area that offers plenty of space for a family or a small group of friends.

Dark forests

I love that they were not afraid to combine darker exotic forests with light rattan. The combination of different wooden surfaces gives minimalist interior schemes depth and heat. Ideally, you shouldn’t mix more than three types of wood, but if you adhere to warmer under tones (as shown here), you can achieve a coherent look.

Sealed built -in wardrobes

A mirrored coated wardrobe is a clever way to make a room appear larger. However, they can look a bit out of date, so feather designs should be avoided to just keep things. The use of two different colors or textures gives a refined look. Try to coordinate the color of the wardrobe with something else in the room such as the curtains or a feature wall.

The second bedroom was below where our girls slept. It was great that we all had our own space to sleep peacefully, as well as a lot of storage space. They even had their own veranda, which was perfect for the sidelines of sunsets.

Hof and Verranda

The two verandas and the courtyard made this stay particularly special. I loved sitting on the veranda in the morning and drinking my espresso before someone else got up. It was so peaceful that the only noises I could hear were the birds and nature when I admired the lagoon and the locals of Rosa Flamingos. We stayed in many hotels, but with regard to accommodation and views, this makes all of this. The weather was perfect every day at +27 degrees Celsius and despite the hot temperature, the whirlpool was also used every day. I was sad to go because it really felt like a home in the distance and I got a lot of good ideas for our own home.
