Please take part in this thought experiment and answer this question …

I have no closet today because yesterday was a vacation in the USA again and I took the day off. But now that the long three -day holiday weekend is over, today I will return to the construction of the walk -in wardrobe island. But in the meantime I would like to ask you to take part in this thought experiment. I ask for your feedback to this simply out of mere curiosity and not from the efforts to shake someone or the like. I am motivated by mere fascination and curiosity about how people of humans work.

I don’t know if you know that, but when I went to college, I have a Bachelor of Science in psychology. I did this primarily because I was interested in the human mind, how it works, nature vs. nutrition, how this affects our mind, our behavior, our life decisions, etc. My plan after the end was to take a year off after I made my Bachelor degree to decide whether I wanted to go the MD route and become a PhD route and a licensed way. Fortunately, this year led me in a completely different direction and I never went back.

In retrospect, I am so grateful that my life went a different path. This type of work requires much more analytical spirit, and over the period of the past 30 years I have recognized more and more every day that I do not have this analytical spirit. I would have died slowly inner death if I (or my parents) had spent all the money on this type of education and I felt locked up for the rest of my life in this kind of work. My mind may have some of these analytical properties, but my mind lives on the artistic and creative side. When I feed this artistic and creative side of my mind, I feel alive.

But I have this fascination for the functioning of the human mind and how all our spirit works in very different ways. And that brings me to this (apparently very random) topic for today.

The other day I posted this side-by-side image of a light on my addictive 2 decoration Facebook page, which I saw on the Wayfair website and my studio trailer light. As soon as I saw this Wayfair light, I thought: “Oh, that reminds me of my studio light! And wow! Take a look at this price!

And in the description of this article I started with “That’s why I have DIY …” and talked about the price difference etc. Of course I have an advantage that diyying is literally my full -time job. So time is not a problem for me. It is clear to me that for those who work on a full -time job, the hours of hour that make something. But I not only compared the price difference, but also what you have through DIYYING with something that fully at home size, colors, etc. and very often with something that is completely unique and unique. In addition, there is satisfaction, looking at the thing and saying: “I did it with my own hands!” For people like me, this is one of the most satisfactory feelings in the world, but I know that it is not important for many other people.

Anyway, Bla, Bla, Bla. This is not even the point I want to get to. This is only the background where today’s contribution came from. In my question, these are the answers that I received from a handful of people who really shocked me and made me: “Wait … What? Seriously?”

There were only a few, but the comments went something like that …

These are not even similar from a distance.

It is not a version of this lamp. It is a completely different lamp.

There are literally no similarities.

Anyway, you get the point. The article contains 630 comments, and this type of commentary was a very small percentage. I would say I have no more than 10 comments from people who said that there are no similarities between the two lights. But these comments are still surprising.

I would like to impress you that this has nothing to do with “common comments” or the like. These comments weren’t that. They didn’t make me angry. This is not the point of this post. The jumping point is that I am really and really fascinated that some people can see these two lights and see no similarities at all. It is as if I want to study your brain. I would like to spend a week to shade her and see how to process information from the world around you and then compare notes at the end of the week to see how different we process the same information.

When I got the first comment that there were no similarities at all, I just wrote to come from someone who is probably a contrarian online. But then I have another one. And another. And another. I thought, “How is that possible at all?

Because I look at these two lights and see only similarities. Both use several rings that are hung together in the descending order of the diameter on different levels. Both create visual interest in an article that is used hundreds of times in the repeat. Yes, there are differences. The Wayfair light has only four rings and my thirteen. The Wayfair light has only one color and mine has thirteen. But the overall concept is the same. At least it is to my brain And how my brain processes information.

I am so curious to know if you can see that or not. Does your brain tell you when you see these two lights side by side, this similar lights based on a similar design concept? Or tell you your brain Absolutely no similarities In these two lights?

Again I ask no other reason except the mere curiosity. I know that there is no way to carry out a scientific survey in my blog, but I’m as curious as the numbers are divided. Will it be 50/50? Or 90/10? And if you don’t see any similarities at allHow would you describe yourself Would you describe yourself as creative? Not creative? Do you like to do creative things?

Maybe I’m not even asking the right questions. I just want to know more. I would like to know more about the people who look at them and say: “No. Not similar at all.” I want to study your brain. I would like to understand how your brain processes information from the world around you.

Interestingly, the light that my studio light really inspires was the one that hangs in our music room.

That was my main inspiration. I look at these two lights again and see many similarities. Are you the same? Of course not. This music lighting light has all the rings on the same level and uses string sequences to attach multiple layers of the same object (especially Capiz -Shells) to a string to create the visual level with the shorter strings to create the outside ring and gradually become longer when they go into the middle of light.

But that’s the main light that my design has inspired on the right side. How about these two? Do you see the similarities in these?

I suspect that if you answered “No” with the first comparison of the Wayfair light and my studio light, this is a “Heck no!”. But if you answered the first comparison with “yes”, is this also a “yes”? Or is that a “no”?

Anyway, I hope you will spoil me if I let go back to my psychology for a contribution. I am really fascinated and have been thinking about it for days. I am fascinated by how different people process information and process the world around you. I will return to the closet tomorrow because my plan is to work on the island today.
