The floors in our main bedroom suite are ready and I could not be more satisfied with the result! Our floors are Red Oak (this part of the house has new red oak floors), and I ended them with Bona Natural Seal and Bona Traffic HD in an extra matt finish. After I put on the floors, starting with 36 granules and then on 60 bodies, 80-grain and with 100 bodies, I made a layer of Bona Natural Seal (which I bought here). Then I made two layers of Bona Traffic HD in the extra matt finish (which I bought here – affiliate link). Then I quickly finished this degree with 220 grit sandpaper on my 5-inch grinder (after I learned on the hard tour that I am not strong enough to use a floor buffer), with a final layer of bona traffic HD. I applied the entire sealing and closure coat with a 14-inch scooter and a 14-inch wooster microfiber roller cover, which I bought from Home Depot.
I will share a lot of pictures of the finished floor today, because when I tried to decide which bona Sealer I should use on my hardwood floors in Red Oak, I just wanted to find pictures. I wanted charges and many pictures, but they are difficult to find. When I found pictures, there would only be about one or two pictures of each room, and it was difficult to say what I looked at because of the lighting. I was able to find some videos, but they were either 15 seconds through finished floors or longer videos, which showed the entire process from start to finish with just one minute or less a procedure for a house with the finished floor. I just wanted pictures and wanted to see the same space from different perspectives, and I wanted a lot of them. Today I will show you these finished floors from almost every perspective, and I will provide some information from which I hope that it will be helpful for anyone who happens on this post who is looking for information on bona surfaces for hardwood floors.
So here is what our newly completed Red Oak hardwood floors look like with the Bona Natural Seal and Bona Traffic HD in an extra matt finish. I will start with the foyer of the bedroom suite.
The foyer only has a ceiling light in which two light bulbs are contained. Both lamps are 5000K (daylight) LED lamps. As you can see, the foyer has no windows, so there is no direct natural light in this room. Remember that the color of the soil looks warmer when you use a warmer lighting (what most people do) than it looks below 5000,000 LED lighting. Also, I didn’t use Bona Red Out On my red oak floors.
Next I go to the bedroom. I can’t wait to get rid of these striped walls, but one project. I will work in this room as soon as I’m ready with the walk -in closet. However, this room is the one who has the most natural light because there are three windows. I took these pictures this morning (around 7:00 a.m., just 30 minutes after sunrise), so that it wasn’t during the brightest part of the day. This room has four steamed LED lights that are set to 5000 km (daylight). So if you use a warmer lighting, the floor color appears warmer. Here you can see the beautiful low shine of the Bona traffic HD in the additional matt finish.
And finally here is the walk -in wardrobe. This room has some natural light, but since there is only one window and these pictures were taken this morning, there is not much natural light through the window. The room has seven LED covering lights on the 5000K (daylight) and a medium chandelier with three 5000,000 -day -LED -LED -Kronlekluchter.
So if you try to decide which Bona product you should use, especially on Red Oak Hartwood Floors, I really hope that this is helpful! I find it interesting that the color differs from picture to picture, but I think that is only because my phone (I take all my pictures with my iPhone 15) in different corners. But it is actually very precise how I see the floors personally. Depending on the angle, lighting and the time of day, the floors can appear brighter, or they can appear a little darker and warmer.
But the general appearance of the soil with the Bona Natural Seal and the Bona traffic -HD will be a little darker and warmer than the bare, freshly ground red oak floor. These pictures were taken at various times of the day so that you have to take this into account. But here is a picture of the freshly sanded floor on the left, on 100 bodies and the finished floor with the Bona Natural Seal and the VerkehrshD on the right. The difference is very low, but I think that a low hint of heat from the surfaces makes a very big difference.
If you prefer the appearance of the soil on the left, you will probably want to stay with the brightest available color with noric Seal. But if you like the natural red oak, but only want the slightest touch of warmth, the natural seal of the bona is the right choice. I am absolutely enthusiastic about my choice and could now not be happier with my floors!
And just for fun you will find a brief comparison of what I had before (Red Oak stained with a mixture of dark walnut and special walnut) and the new lighter, lighter red oak floors.
What an amazing difference !! I love the lighter floors so much more! And now the countdown begins. The floors need three days to heal completely, and then …I can finally move my washing machine and dryer into the closet !! I have waited too long for this moment and I am more excited than a child waiting for Christmas morning.
