What color should I paint my walk -in wardrobe island?

Well, I didn’t do a single thing this weekend in my walk -in closet. It is a holiday weekend here in the United States, and for a change I have absolutely no pressure on myself to do things and I did this without guilt. I spent my weekend sitting at my desk in the studio (my favorite place in our house) to update the house tour page on my blog. So if you see all the borns and anus in every room in our house in one place or get color color information, you can watch this page.

And I hadn’t even planned to be here this morning. Since it is a vacation, I had planned to sleep this vacation, followed by a nice breakfast and maybe a film with matt. But shortly before 6:00 a.m., I was brightened by loud thunder, brightly light and a lot of rain washing on the windows when a thunderstorm rolled through. So I got up and went back to my happy place.

I officially became a morning person, which is so strange. My whole adult life was a night school. I could stay up until 2 a.m. and it was difficult for me to go to bed. Then the morning would come and I would fight so much to start my day. But in the last year I learned that my favorite day was actually in the early morning before the sun appears when the house is dark, the neighborhood is still calm and still sleeping, Matt is still sleeping and I get an hour or two at my desk, whereby Cooper collapses at my feet while I sit under the soft, glowing light of the frequent light over my desk. I am actually looking forward to it every night when I go to bed. Who became me?

Anyway, this morning I played around at my desk with some different colors for my closet island during this dark, quiet hour. I had planned to paint it just like the cupboards – Sherwin Williams Blouwy Blue. I even bought the color for it because the color had leaked when I paint the cupboards. But several people have proposed to paint an accent color.

At first I somehow withdrew the idea because I thought that an accent color would compete with the wallpaper. But this morning I thought about doing it more seriously just because I think it could actually emphasize the wallpaper than to compete with it. With my photo editor, I selected some colors from the most important large flowers in the wallpaper and tested them on a very rough model on the island.

First, here is what would look breeze. Ignore the gray outlines. I literally used a line drawing of the island for the model. The actual island will not have gray.

But here is a selection of the colors that I have searched out of these large pink flowers. In the first place is a pink that looks as if it only had a touch of purple in it …

Next comes a pink that is a little more prominent in the wallpaper.

And this is the best -known light pink in the wallpaper.

But then I decided to try the darkest red red color of these large flowers.

This is also from the middle of the large flowers, but it has a touch of orange.

This is the coral/orange from the big flowers, but it is probably my most favorite because it seems to fight with the pink. And the pink are the best -known colors in the background image.

And here is a lighter version of this color, which also comes from the large flowers, but is not as prominent as the pinks.

I don’t know, you. I can love an accent color! And since this is a walk -in wardrobe, it doesn’t have to be too serious, right? I can have a little fun with it. And of course it’s just color. If I don’t like it, I can keep going to the blouwig breeze. Should I try one of these accent colors? And remember that the worktop will be a faux marble, so it will be largely white. And then I will have the white floral chandelier over the island. I think I now take an accent color!

Here is a side-by-side view of the waving breeze and the accent color, which is probably my favorite.

What do you think? Should I stick to the breeze breeze? Or should I enjoy it and make an accent color?

Update: I should have assumed that many people would suggest the dark blue of the background of the wallpaper. I would love that! I tried it and it’s beautiful, but it’s not an option.

I will be the first to admit that this is absolutely beautiful. But here is the deal. The foyer right in front of the clothing door is blue -green, and these are collapsed. I selected this wallpaper because it contains the dark blue (which fits my washing machine and dryer) as well as some blue -green shades to close the dark blue and blue -green. But I still want to keep the big blue objects separated from the blue -green foyer.

This is pretty much excluded to paint the island dark blue that brings the blue directly to the blue -green foyer. But it also rules out a dark teal that would also look beautiful, but would bring the blue -green flap to the blue washing machine and the dryer.

And since my washing machine and my dryer are blue – only blue, without a green touch of them – the blues and blue -green have to remain separated with a distance.

Perhaps there is a dark blue out there that only has a touch of green, but not so much green that it actually looks blue -green, so it still looks good with the washing machine and the dryer, but just enough green in that it does not collide with the foyer grass wall paper. Maybe this color exists. But that could be like the search for a unicorn. But I can try it!
