After reading all of your comments on yesterday’s post about what I should do with the areas over the washing machine and the dryer in the closet, I decided to add pretty trailer lights over the washing machine and dryer and then add a single, framed work of work behind each device. It was not only my favorite idea, but it also seemed the easiest that it did better.
As I worked yesterday, I thought about lighting. Now that all the circumference is available, I can see exactly where the center light has to go in the room. As you can see here, the Center Light (currently a ceiling fan) is outside of six inches.
So I have to move this cross box over six inches so that it is centered over the island. And there I will hang a pretty chandelier.
They may remember some time ago that I was looking for a pretty chandelier that goes over the island and I was pushing on this, which costs 2300 US dollars …
I couldn’t or would not pay for a chandelier, so I will do a chandelier that looks like this. I needed a good basis at first, so I bought it from Lamps Plus. (Affiliate -Link) I was looking for a very specific shape I could work with, and he had it. I was not concerned about the color because I will paint everything white anyway.
And then I will have my sweet little flower lights in this cabinet section. I had hoped to bring and disguise the background picture yesterday, but I was more time. Painting so many shelves takes much longer than I expected.
Anyway, as a memory, the wall candlesticks look like this …
And then I add five immersion light to the blanket. Four are evenly distributed in the cabinet area of the room, and one is centered between the washing machine and the dryer.
And then I hope to add a dimmable cable lighting to the jewelry drawer that I ended yesterday. I had the inside painted to match the jewelry shells, and the front and sides that fit the cupboards.
In the end I selected very simple golden buttons for the drawer because there is so much going on as soon as the wallpaper has expired and the shelves are loaded with shoes and other objects, so I did not think that I needed a striking thing on the front of the drawer.
And then I think that I will also add a few cable lighting to the lamp of the necklace.
Until yesterday this is all of the lighting that I had planned for the room. But now I love adding pendant lights over the washing machine and the dryer. In fact, with supporters above the washing machine and the dryer, I may not even need the in -depth light that I wanted to lay between them.
I looked at the lights on the pendant lights for some time last night and really don’t know which direction I should go. Of course I love unique lighting. I consider lighting as a sculptural work of art more than anything. So my first inclination is always to find something that is really unique and striking. At the same time, I don’t want something that affects the chandelier that I will do over the middle island. And I know not everything has to be a function, right? Some of them have tried to drill that in my head in recent years. I finally understand.
In this sense, the only way that really seems to make sense would be something (affiliate link) …
The white would coordinate with the other lighting (chandelier and candlestick), and the gold would integrate with the other hardware in the room. These would look good and coordinate while not trying to be a show stopper to draw attention to the island’s chandelier.
Although I came across this from Home Depot (affiliate link) that I think I could work. It is not clear, but it is also not so attentive that it would be distracting. This silver would have to be painted, but that’s light enough. And it’s only $ 20.68!
Or is it too striking? I don’t know. Maybe I should stick to the simple coupling lights.
In the direction in which I go with the washing and dryer area – pendant lights and large, framed works of art. But I have to find the perfect trailer lights. You have to be pretty. You have to coordinate with the other lighting (white chandelier and white glow). But they don’t have to be too striking to distract from the main crown chandelier. I just have to look for it.
In the meantime, I will leave her with a look at this sweet boy. He can’t stand not to be around me, so he just makes you well and sleep here while I work.
